Susie Williamson is the author of the award-winning fantasy fiction series, Blood Gift Chronicles, published by Stairwell Books. The series begins with Return of the Mantra and The Warder, and features themes of wildlife and the environment, social justice and marginalisation, magic, animism, dragons, and being true to oneself. Her short fiction, articles and poetry have appeared in a number of anthologies and podcasts including Dreamcatcher magazine, The Other Stories and Focus. 

Originally from Yorkshire, Susie started life as a science teacher, before venturing to Africa. She spent the year of 1999 teaching English as a Foreign Language in the Sudan. From there she moved to South Africa and spent several years teaching Adult Basic Education and Training, primarily in a rural township in Kwazulu Natal. Susie now lives in Exeter, Devon, where she is also an artist and spoken word performer. She is currently working on the third instalment in her series, Blood Gift Chronicles.
